France, the new Lebanon
Olivier Guitta, whose work has appeared in The American Thinker many times, has a sobering article today on the Weekly Standard website. The Muslim racism Olivier has so well—documented is becoming more aggressive and more visible to the French. Responsible observers are warning the French that they face a future not unlike the comminal warfare which ravaged Lebanon.
Of course, there are left wingers in France (as elsewhere) who still pooh—pooh violence by those defined as "oppressed" and see it as "class conflict," not racism. And Jews remain the target of choice. But ordinary French people are now subject to violent attack in public places.
Will the French wake up and defend themselves before it is too late? History does not offer much comfort.
