Why is the Ford Foundation backing efforts to whitewash Islamic Sharia law, and even exploring amending the United States Constitution to exclude blasphemy from the free speech guarantees of the First Amendment? Frontpage Magazine today carries a long and very disturbing article on the emerging campaigns, backed by millions of tax—deductible dollars.

Recently, the Jewish Telegraphic Agency (JTA) and the Wall Street Journal have published hard—hitting articles detailing Ford Foundation support for the racist, hate—filled, anti—Semitic United Nations conference in Durban, South Africa. Ford Foundations have apologized. But, it would appear that there is more than mere carelessness at work in granting Ford monies. It would appear that a sinister agenda is at work.

The Frontpage Magazine article is full of hyperlinks and references detailing the inaccuracies perpetrated by the Ford—funded (and misleadingly named) 'Constitutional Rights Foundation,' which 'educates' school children about Islamic law and the Constitution. One of its most egregious suggested exercises asks students to imagine that they are a Senator seeking to amend our sacred Constitution to prohibit blasphemy. The article contains many valuable references to sources explaining the Islamic tradition of dealing with non—believers (dhimmies). All Americans should become familiar with this crucial aspect of Islamic tradition and teaching.

It is well past time to put the Ford Foundation under an investigative micropscope, backed by powers of subpoena and perjury sanctions. This vast, unaccountable force for change has operated in mysterious ways for decades. What, exactly, could account for its apparent embrace of radical Islam and anti—Semitism? The reasons may be far deeper than one or two errant grant administrators.
