Extra! Extra! Miracle in Afghanistan!
The MSM have mostly ignored the miracle in Afghanistan, and this is wrong. We see more coverage on car bombs in Iraq than on the miracle. In the end, the MSM will be proven wrong about Iraq, too, even though the struggle there is harder, simply because of geography: terrorists can drive their beat—up cars from Iran, Saudia Arabia (and other southern nations on the Peninsula), Syria, Jordan, and Egypt into Iraq, with the greatest of ease, no mountains, no snow, but clear roads.
Be that as it may, since the newsrooms of the MSM are filled with journalists who once opposed the Vietnam War, they cannot now bring themselves to fill their pages and their airwaves with the miracle in Afghanistan.
We must never forget that the media elite claimed in 2001 that Afghanistan would bury the US in another quagmire as it buried the Soviets, the British, and Alexander the Great. We must never forget that Kerry belittled our achievements there in his silly accuasation that the Administration had "outsourced" its hunt for bin Laden. We must never forget our soldiers who died there liberating this great nation.
The Afghan miracle is so momentous, please take the time to read these five articles——at least in honor of the people of Afghanistan and in honor of our soldiers.
Here is the NYT and their obligatory coverage.
More importantly, here is the coverage by the armed forces.
Charles Krauthammer outlines the miracle.
Here is the coverage of the miracle by the Afghanistan Sun, a free newspaper.
From the same newspaper here is the transcript of the Vice President's speech to the soldiers in Kabul
May God bless America!
