Evil eye

By

The news today contains a report of the murder of a Dutch film maker who had the audacity to create a film critical of Islam's treatment of women. In San Francisco yesterday, Palestinian students physically assaulted Republican students. But Tom Daschle's campaign in South Dakota launched a lawsuit yesterday, on the basis of eyeball—rolling being an unacceptable intimidation of voters.

So, if a voter attempts to vote under a name such as "Mary Poppins" (who actually did register to vote in Ohio), a Republican poll—watcher who rolled his eyeballs in response would be unacceptably threatening, on planet Daschle.

Knowing the people of South Dakota to be the absolute salt of the earth, I am convinced that this sort of unreal hysteria cannot help the Minority Leader's electoral prospects. Derision is the only sane response to claims such as his.
