Along with everyone else, we were apparently duped by the reports coming out of Paris of a savage attack on a woman, by Arab youths under the mistaken impression she was Jewish. The BBC reports that no confirming evidence has been found, that she has been detained, and that unnamed police sources have told French media that she has admitted she made up the story.

France remains subject terrible anti—Semitic violence, and endemic violent crime, most of it committed by young North African Muslim males.
