In the bad old Soviet days, a famous saying among the oppressed was: 'We pretend to work and they pretend to pay us.' Under communism everything was a charade.
 
Looks like the Communist Party USA hasn't changed any. In a truly staggering feat of denial that's outright entertaining to read. The People's Weekly World goes to great ends to quote activists from the old Latino political machines, who, desperate to keep those NGO funds rolling in, insist that the Democrats really haven't lost a huge percentage of the Latino vote. They've been steamrollered of course, but insist on declaring the same old canard that the Latino voters, long gone, continue to see things their way. What they think they can gain by this, other than to feel good, is beyond me. Lying to themselves certainly won't win back any Latino voters.
