Coincidence?
The Washington Post reports that rebel cleric Moqtada Sadr has declared a "revolution" against U.S.—led security forces in Iraq. Fighting is underway in Najaf, with a U.S. helicopter already downed. Coicidentally or not, Grand Ayatollah Sistani is reported to be ill with heart problems. I have no insight into his condition, but poisoning is not beyond the realm of possibility. At a minimum, Sadr could be taking advantage of his far more popular rival's illness.
