Clinton campaign manager under investigation

By

David Wilhelm, Bill Clinton's campaign manager in 1992, is under investigation in an expanding scandal regarding investment of teacher retirement funds in Illinois. Public employee pension plans all across America have been subject to political influence, and since their investment funds run into the tens of billions of dollars in big states, the temptation for a little influence here or there can be substrantial.

Heading up the investigation is none other than Peter Fitzgerald, the US attorney who is also serving as a special prosecutor investigating the Plame affair.
