Canada's policy now less anti-Isarel
Canada is shifting to a less anti—Israel approach at the UN. Is this change the consequence of the Bush victory or the recent Bush visit?
Maybe it has something to do with the end of bribery. Chretien, the former leader of Canada, was of French heritage and was, to say the least, unsypathetic to Israel. Chretien's daughter was married to the son of the CEO of the Power Corporation of Canda, the majority shareholder in France's TotalFinaElf — an oil company currying favor with the Arab oil producing dictators. So, like Chirac and Annan, Chretien may have been bought off, in effect, to have an anti—Israel policy.
