Blair forbids his party from endorsing Kerry
Unlike Spain's new PM , Zapatero, Tony Blair has once again showed the world why he is a responsible world leader. As reported in today's Sunday Telegraph, the British Prime Minster, has made it abundantly clear to all in his ruling Labour party that there will be no delegation going to Senator Kerry's Boston coronation in late July.
Normally, Labour delegates flood to these crowning events for the Democratic Presidential candidate. This time, Blair has put a block on it in order not to offend President Bush.
The British PM has to be applauded for understanding that the transatlantic relationship is more important than party politics and personalities. Presidents
and Prime Minsters will come and go — the 'special relationship' should not.
