The American Thinker posted a news story on President Jacques Chirac's refusal to meet with Israel's Prime Minister Ariel Sharon because the  PM told 600,000 French Jews to immigrate to Israel due to rampant anti—semitism in France. The French President resented Sharon's "negative" depiction of French policies.
 
However, 200 French Jews just immigrated to Israel to live there precisely because, they say, Sharon was accurate. Anti—semitism is rampant in France.
 
Which story is accurate? My money is on the French Jews, since they have witnessed or experienced persecution, rather than on Chirac, who has to snub Sharon just to please the 5 million Muslims in France. Reality should always trump politics.
