Annan doesn't mention US

There is obviously a lot of Congressional heat on Kofi Annan. Why else would he write an article highlighting how effective the UN has been in promoting progress in Iraq. He is trying to justify continued US funding of the UN, of course.

But he just could not bring himself, though, to even give a nod to America's role. Malloch Brown, the newly appointed PR spinner at the UN, was charged with the responsibilities of getting positive news out about the UN. This article is obviously the fruit of those labors.
