Ambassador-designate Bolton
The times are a changin'. The New York Sun reports this morning:
As the assistant secretary of state for international organizations under the first President Bush, Mr. Bolton led the effort to repeal the U.N. General Assembly resolution equating Zionism with racism. In his remarks yesterday, Mr. Bolton called that campaign a highlight of his professional career.
The Democrats are considering a major fight over his confirmation hearing. They might want to consider that President Bush received about one fourth of the Jewish vote last year. Taking—on Bolton would not help them appeal to more Jews.
