A study in contrasts
Wall Street Journal:
As Arafat had already told an Arab audience in Stockholm in 1996, "We plan to eliminate the State of Israel and establish a purely Palestinian state. We will make life unbearable for Jews by psychological warfare and population explosion . . . . We Palestinians will take over everything, including all of Jerusalem."
New York Times on Arafat:
......a leader who failed to make the transition from romantic revolutionary to statesman.
The New York Times has provided space for Arafat (in an op—ed reportedly ghost—written by Jimmy Carter) and his minions ( such as Michael Tarizi who recently wrote this op—ed calling for the destruction of Israel) to engage in agitprop against the Israelis.
