Yo! Victims! Trump Wants You to become Commoners!

It was right after Thanksgiving that I stumbled on Curtis Yarvin’s “Clear Pill” series at American Mind. I found it was just what the doctor ordered. According to Yarvin, there are three class layers in America: Gentry, Commoners, and Clients:

The gentry are urbanites, cultivated and ambitious; the commoners are suburbanites, educated and independent; the clients are Marx’s proletariat and lumpenproletariat, uneducated and/or dependent.

The Gentry rules by enlisting the Clients in its political army, so "The natural conflict pits commoners against gentry plus clients." The Gentry says, Oh, we care about the victims. Nuts to you deplorables.

Do you want to know what President Trump was doing at the State of the Union speech on February 4? He was issuing an invitation to the victim Clients of the Democratic Party to become Commoners. That’s what all the pandering to minority special guests in the gallery was all about. It was telling minorities all across America that Trump believes in them and their aspirations. Why not join the party, the great big family of American Commoners? Making the point crystal clear is the Trump campaign video of his peroration: A hymn to all America called “The Best is Yet to Come.”

Put it this way. We are all humans, we each belong to a tribe. The tribe of the Gentry is the global educated elite; the tribe of the Commoner is the nation; the tribe of the Client is the ethnic group. Trump is saying to the Clients: Hey, life would be much funner for you if you left your ethnic ghetto and joined the great American nation. Not to mention that your life would have more meaning if you committed yourself to the great American experiment.

Here’s how America looks if you don’t have the illumination of Yarvin’s three-layer concept of Gentry, Commoners, and Clients. It’s an American Greatness piece “The Economics and Politics of Evil” by Ernest S. Christian. Used to be that the Democrats were “the friend and political champion of working-class, upwardly mobile strivers, including people like my parents and many others of America’s ‘Greatest Generation.’” But now they are working to convert “free-market America into a command economy. They are sanguine with the kind of society they believe will be run by progressives.” And the enemy is the “Joe-the-plumber” kind of person, who needs to be destroyed. But what can Joe-the-plumber do about it? Go head to head against the progressives in a new trench warfare until all the best and brightest are dead? It’s the story of the last 50 years ever since the Sixties and the New Left. Nowhere to go but down.

There’s a similar piece “Today’s liberals dream of a workerless paradise” by James Bloodworth over at UnHerd.com. He quotes Michael Lind that “Demagogic populism is a symptom. Technocratic neoliberalism is the disease.”

But if you buy the Gentry-Commoner-Client system you say: Oh, I get it. Ever since Marx the educated Gentry has been playing their Clients on the bottom against the Commoners in the middle. So, how about we invite Clients knocking on the door of the middle class to come join us Commoners, and then we can turn around and say to the snobby Gentry: Hey, pal! You gotta problem? See you at the next election!

As I keep saying, how come it took a Trump to figure that out? Well, genius is the ability to solve a problem and make it look easy: to make the complex understandable, as Presidential Medal of Freedom recipient Rush Limbaugh likes to say.

And here’s the worst of it, for you swamp creatures. Even Peggy Noonan now gets it:

[T]his was an aligning of the GOP… with the minority, the regular, the working class. It was plain people versus fancy people.

Ooh! I like that! “Plain people versus fancy people.”

It’s not that hard. The nation is the natural home, the tribe of the Commoner. If you fancy people insist that the nation is deplorable, because Hitler, then you make the Commoners homeless, because the home of the Commoner is the nation.

And I thought you fancy people were the ones that cared about the homeless.

Figuring out what we Commoners should do, politically, is a life-and-death question for us. That’s what the movie Joker that everybody hates is all about. If you are white Commoners like Joker and his mom and you start falling, there is no safety net, no bottom: nobody cares about you and nobody is going to catch you. Because the system set up by the Gentry doesn’t care about people like you. Hey, it’s worse than that, because you are all racist-sexist-homophobe deplorables that absolutely deserve what’s coming to you.

That is where Trump comes in. He tells the Commoners that America, the greatest country in the world, is made out of people like them. Imagine.
