Democrats Take Jewish Vote for Granted
The Democratic Party assumes that Jews will vote for its candidates despite its infestation by anti-Semites, anti-Israel boycott, divestment, and sanctions (BDS) advocates, a Palestinian flag at its 2016 National Convention, and even individuals who depict Jews as "termites." The Democratic National Committee's accomplices include nominally Jewish organizations such as the National "Jewish" Democratic Council and the Union for Reform "Judaism." Let's start with the URJ's role as a shill for the left wing of the Democratic Party.
The URJ Torah
In 2000, Rabbi Eric Yoffie defined every vote for the Democratic Party's anti-Second Amendment agenda as a mitzvah or, in Yoffie's words, "a solemn religious obligation."
Is the need for sensible gun-control a religious issue? You bet it is.
…Controlling guns is not only a political matter, it is a solemn religious obligation.
…We are ready for a knock-down, drag-out, no-holds-barred battle against the NRA, which is the real criminals’ lobby in this country, and which is drenched in the blood of murdered children.
Yoffie did not say whether NRA mascot Eddie Eagle then makes matzos from the blood of the murdered children in question, but he did try to influence an election in his capacity as the head of a 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization.
True, we may not have the money of the NRA, but we’ve got savvy, grit, and passion. And we’re going to find out who’s getting NRA funds, and benefiting from NRA ads, and we’re going to vote for the other guy.
…The American people, I believe, are ready for a leader who will take on the fanatics and support sensible gun control.
This is apparently what Eric Yoffie regards as Judaism: lying (hotzaat diba) about the NRA and its five million law-abiding members, and lying about the existence of a religious obligation to vote for enemies of the Second Amendment who are almost universally left-wing Democrats. Although Yoffie is no longer running URJ, its agenda has not changed as shown by its diatribe against Donald Trump in which it stipulates that it is not promoting or opposing any candidate.
At every turn, Mr. Trump has chosen to take the low road, sowing seeds of hatred and division in our body politic.
…As a religious movement, we do not endorse or oppose any candidates -- and we do not do so now.
If URJ wants to run political attack ads, it should really do so on a website that does not operate with 501(c)(3) tax exempt money. URJ's new leader, Rabbi Rick Jacobs, also thinks Israel should reward Palestinian terrorism with a two-state solution. The page on which his opinion piece appears, in fact, includes a link with the title "Palestinian gunmen kill 4, wound 5 in Tel Aviv market shooting," which shows the extent to which the Palestinians are capable of governing themselves like even remotely civilized human beings.
The National "Jewish" Democratic Council (NJDC)
NJDC is another nominally Jewish organization whose Torah consists primarily of the Democratic Party's platform, and is quite willing to use its nominally Jewish identity to elect Progressive Democrats at all costs. NJDC, for example, criticized Mitt Romney for appearing at the Henry Ford Museum because Ford once republished anti-Semitic material that he later repudiated when he discovered his mistake.
The National Jewish Democratic Council (NJDC) expressed its deep concerns today about Republican Mitt Romney’s decision to announce his candidacy for President from the Henry Ford Museum in Detroit, Michigan.
NJDC has no trouble whatsoever, however, with Democratic Presidential candidates such as John Edwards, Hillary Clinton, Bernie Sanders, and Barack Obama appearing at the National Action Network with the prominent racist and anti-Semite Al Sharpton. The fact that NJDC gives a live and unrepentant anti-Semite a pass while it attacks Romney for appearing at the museum of the man who helped make the United States a first-class economic and military power speaks for itself. The same goes for NJDC's whitewash of MoveOn.org's willful publication of anti-Semitic, anti-Catholic, anti-Evangelical, and other hate speech.
NJDC has furthermore published its own anti-Christian hate material. The animated cartoon "Bubbie vs. the GOP" depicts evangelical Christians as the enemies of Jews, mocks their belief in Jesus and the Rapture, and includes an American flag with a cross in the blue field, in the same context that anti-Semitic propaganda uses a Star of David. I thought that the videos were long gone, but the archived copy of Episode 4 is still available.
"Bubbie versus the GOP" is not the only example of anti-Christian hate speech by the NJDC. The organization also lied about the Christian video game "Left Behind: Eternal Forces" to the effect that it encouraged the player to kill anybody who would not convert to Christianity. The game actually encourages players to use persuasion (such as Christian music) to convert people, and to use violence only against armed minions of the Antichrist.
When last I heard, the Jewish religion does not include quadrennial High Holidays known as the Democratic National Convention, nor do genuine Jews worship a Holy Trinity of Franklin D. Roosevelt the Father, Barack Obama the Son, and Lyndon B. Johnson the Holy Ghost. The Almighty is emphatically not a Democratic Donkey that lives in the sky, nor does mere incidental contact with a Republican voting lever render a person unclean until the next election. These practices and beliefs are entirely peculiar to jewish (small j) Democratic (large D) entities such as URJ and NJDC.
Mainstream Jewish voters need to ask seriously whether URJ and NJDC represent any Jewish values and beliefs whatsoever, or whether these organizations' "religion" consists solely of a political agenda that is neither Judeo-Christian nor American in nature. They also need to pay close attention to the ideology of a Democratic Party that is beginning to align with Students for Justice in Palestine and similar enemies of Judeo-Christian civilization.
Democratic Congressman Depicts Jews as Termites
The Washington Free Beacon reports that "Rep. Hank Johnson (D., Ga.) launched into a tirade against Israel and its policies toward the Palestinians, comparing Jewish people who live in disputed territories to 'termites' that destroy homes." The context of these remarks was an "event sponsored by the U.S. Campaign to End the Israeli Occupation, an anti-Israel organization that galvanizes supporters of the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions movement, or BDS." I have created the following graphic for redistribution on Facebook and other social media networking sites.
Johnson went on to falsely accuse Jews of "stealing" Palestinian homes. The article adds that James Zogby, who is both president of the Arab American Institute and a member of the Democratic Platform Committee, blamed fear of Sheldon Adelson (note the Jewish name) for the fact that the Democratic Platform is not more pro-Palestinian.
The Democratic National Committee Versus Israel
American Jews who support Israel do so, or ought to do so, because good Americans of all religions support civilized Euro-American democracies over totalitarian throwbacks to the pre-medieval Dark Ages. All good Americans support the only country in the Middle East that Freedom House rates "Free" (like the United States) over dictatorships that are rated "Partially Free" or "Not Free." Anybody who thinks there is any moral equivalence between Israel and the Palestinians needs to ask himself where LGBT people can hold a gay pride parade and live to tell about it the next day, and also where in the Middle East so-called honor killings of women are and are not socially or even legally acceptable. Nobody who supports the Palestinian agenda can claim to be pro-LGBT rights or pro-women's rights.
The ugly truth is that support for Palestinian terrorists pervades the Democratic National Committee quite thoroughly.
We do not often see the Arab-Israeli conflict through Palestinian eyes," Zogby began, according to an informal transcript of the meeting obtained by Foreign Policy. He was pushing an amendment calling for "an end to occupation and illegal settlements."
…Cornel West, an outspoken Sanders surrogate, civil rights activist, and fiery scholar, drew parallels between slavery and the Palestinian experience.
"All we're trying to say is, the Democratic Party must tell the truth," he said. "We can never fully respect the Palestinians unless we can name what they're up against, the boot on their necks."
The DNC's Platform Committee, in fact, considered "an amendment that would have called for an end to Israel’s 'occupation and illegal settlements.'" The fact that the amendment failed does not set aside the fact that 43 percent of the committee voted in favor of it. The DNC's position is apparently, "Screw the Jews, they'll vote for us regardless of what we do," and it is past time for Jewish voters to realize this.
