Islamic Barbarity and Moral Equivalence

In President Obama’s National Prayer Breakfast speech, he was obviously defending his position vis a vis Islam. He doesn’t want to refer to ISIS as Islamic or mention the terror committed against Christians, Jews, and others as Moslem as terrorism.

In his speech, he stated that many atrocities were committed in the name of Jesus. He’s right, but Christianity has evolved since the Inquisition of the fifteenth century. He claimed that slavery was carried out in the name of Christianity, ignoring that the slaves sold in Africa were brokered by Black Africans, many of whom were Moslems.

There is no moral equivalence between the Crusades and the Inquisition and barbaric Moslems who today behead victims for the crime of belonging to other religions or burn a man to death in an iron cage because of his military affiliation.

Walid Shoebat reported that

“Muath Al-Kassasbeh was arrayed in front of armed terrorists as if this was part of a Roman arena, to be caged like an animal, and then with professional filming as if it was scripted from a Hollywood movie on how the ancient Romans entertained themselves with human suffrage [sic] during the dark pre-Christian history.

But this is Muslim reality TV at its best, a plunge into the dark history of Islam. The POW pilot is then soaked with petrol and set on fire while professionally filming his slow suffering as a sacrificial offering to Allah and with no remorse to the screaming and melting of a human being. This is not something we suggest you watch, but ask: how can the world stand idly by while we see this and still think that Islam is a peace loving religion?”

What President Obama doesn’t seem to remember from his early education as a Moslem in Indonesia are the teachings of the Koran. “The Qur'an: Qur'an (8:39) - “And fight them until there is no more Fitnah (disbelief and polytheism: i.e. worshipping others besides Allah) and the religion (worship) will all be for Allah Alone [in the whole of the world]. But if they cease (worshipping others besides Allah), then certainly, Allah is All-Seer of what they do.”

Qur'an (9:29) -- "Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, nor hold that forbidden which hath been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger, nor acknowledge the religion of Truth, (even if they are) of the People of the Book, until they pay the Jizya with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued."  Suras 9 and 5 are the last "revelations" that Muhammad handed down -- hence abrogating what came before, which includes the oft-quoted verse 2:256 -"Let there be no compulsion in religion..."

Throughout his presidency, Obama has made it clear that he is carrying out his own conflict with Christians and Jews whose religions are based on Biblical teachings. In Biblical religions, the Divine command not to murder is revealed by the Father in Heaven embraced by both religions without any caveat. In Islam murder is a weapon used by the belief system to dominate. Biblical religions freed slaves from the Roman epoch up until the American Civil War while Moslems grew rich trading black people. Biblical religions believe in a loving God who forbids the murder of a person created by Him. Islam beliefs teach that one must murder in order for the religion to dominate the world.

If the Koran, the holy book of Islam, teaches that murder is necessary in order for the religion to survive as a world caliphate then how does the President of the United States justify his unwillingness to classify ISIS terror as part of Islam? Is President Obama condoning Moslem terror today as justified barbarity while condemning Biblical religions that had violence in their history? Is Obama’s overt hatred for Israel as witnessed in his condemnations of her government’s attempts to protect her against enemies who want to obliterate Israel and the Jewish people more symptoms of his hatred for everything Biblical?

It is ironic that Middle Eastern state that Obama has been most outspoken about is the Jewish state of Israel. Yes, Jews are commanded in their Torah or Old Testament to engage in war in self-defense but there are numerous laws against murdering human beings outside of defensive combat and the punishments for those who violate this commandment in Judaic law. Still, Obama chooses to compare the nonviolent history of Jews to the savagery of ISIS.

Many in the president’s administration choose to equate Israel’s desire to preserve the tiny state with the abhorrent actions of Nazis against Jews and others during the Holocaust. This year, Obama chose to not attend the seventieth anniversary of the liberation of the Auschwitz concentration camp. Ironically, the government of Iran, the country that declares the Holocaust never happened, is working closely with Obama to reach a nuclear agreement. All but ignored in these negotiations is Iran’s declaration that it will obliterate Israel with its nuclear weapons.  Why didn’t Obama attend the international observance at Auschwitz? Can anyone find the playoff game that kept him glued to his television?

What President Obama tried to do in his Prayer Breakfast speech was to show how the barbarity of ISIS is simply the replay of religious wars hundreds and thousands of years ago. But since the seventh century, Islamic barbarism has made no secret of its religious objectives. Christianity and Judaism, on the other hand, have gone out of their way to preach peace and goodwill towards mankind. Supposedly Obama placed his hand on a Bible when he took the oath pledging to support and uphold the Constitution of the United States. Since he obviously didn’t take seriously the book on which he took the oath to uphold a document that enumerates our right to religious freedom, one has to wonder about the status of the man sitting in the White House.
