It seems the terror regime in Iran has found a kindred fascist government in the new world in an attempt to form a new energy alliance.  In a report  in February, Alexander's Oil and Gas Connection notes that the Iranian energy company, Petropars, has tendered a bid to run Venezuela's Bidboland gas refinery.  Petropars is a state—owned energy company which conducts operations on behalf of the National Iranian Gas Company.

Being state—owned, Petropars is also a prime player in the Iranian maneuver to the east, in the mullahs' gambit to split off India and Pakistan from our anti—terror Coalition.  Iran's Oil Minister, Bijan Namdar Zanganeh, stated that the Phase XII development of the world's largest oil and natural gas field, South Pars, has been 'contracted' to Petropars.  The proposed Iran—India pipeline will use the huge natural gas reserves from the South Pars field in the Persian Gulf to feed the huge energy demands of not only India, but Pakistan as well.

Interestingly, British, German, and South Korean companies have also submitted bids to run Bidboland.  Gholamreza Manouchehri, Petropars' managing director, said that,

...that technical envelopes [technical proposals] of the bidders have already been opened and assessed.  He said that seven consortia, including British, South Korean, Canadian, German and Iranian firms, have bid for upstream and downstream operations in Bidboland gas refinery, worth $ 105 bn.

Aligning with the socialist Venezuelan dictator, Hugo Chavez, is a natural move for the Islamo—fascist mullah's of Iran, especially given the practical challenges of constructing a pipeline through Baluchistan.  Perhaps they are not only hedging their bet economically, but are attempting to outmaneuver the US by establishing a lever of influence in the Western Hemisphere with Chavez.

The other countries who are bidding need to be critically evaluated by the Administration as to their future intentions in relation to the US.  Great Britain and Germany are part of the European—3 alliance with France, and have been actively dealing with Iran over its development of nuclear reactors and fissile material.  All of their socialist economies could certainly benefit from an infusion of cash from lucrative energy contracts.
