Libya is still a rogue country

During a press conference held in Paris on July 6, 2004 the French lawyer Emmanuel Ludot, one of the twenty attorneys representing the Butcher of Baghdad, Saddam Hussein, made some stunning revelations. First and foremost, he mentioned that Libya offered money for Saddam's defense. More precisely, Aicha Khadafi, eldest daughter of the Libyan dictator Muammar Khadafi, is going to provide logistical and financial help to Saddam's defense fund. Ludot acknowledged that it 'is Libyan money and it will be welcome.'

This money will surely come from the Khadafi Foundation for Good Causes, managed by Seif Al Islam, Khadafi's eldest son. Ludot also added that other Arab countries he did not want to name were also contributing financially to Saddam's defense fund. He then said that he was also going to establish contacts with the PLO's French Representative, Leila Shahid. Let's not forget that Yasser Arafat and Saddam Hussein are close friends: Arafat blindly supported Hussein during the two Gulf wars and Saddam gave 25,000$ to each Palestinian family of suicide bombers killing Jews.

So, it might be a good idea to keep an eye on Libya, and not give them a free pass since they decided to become a more respectable nation by canceling their nuclear program....

New Iraqi government in exile?

According to the Lebanese daily Assafir, Ezzedine al Majid, Saddam Hussein's cousin, head of a party named National Salvation, is prepared to form an Iraqi government in exile. He will do so if the current government does not improve the situation. He denies totally that he is collaborating with Saddam's daughter Raghed. Furthermore, he explains that he does not want Saddam back, since he was imprisoned by him in 1995 and freed just recently by the Coalition.

Zarqawi trying to get access to WMD

According to the Lebanese daily An—Nahar, Mouafak Rahibi, NSC advisor for the Iraqi government stated during a press conference that: 'Iraqi WMD or components to manufacture them were certainly taken out of Iraq before the war and ended in border countries. It is also very likely that Zarqawi is trying actively to get his hands on them. To avoid this, the Iraqi government sent to the US radioactive products.'
