Gloria Steinem apologizes
I love watching the feminist gerontocracy trip over itself with hypocrisy. Gloria Steinem, so accustomed to self-righteous denunciations of alleged sexism in others, threw a sexist insult at the young women who support Bernie Sanders overwhelmingly (Sanders has 84% of the 17-29 demographic) over her favorite, Hillary Clinton (via CNN):
Feminist icon -- and Hillary Clinton supporter -- Gloria Steinem says young women are supporting Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders because "the boys are with Bernie."
Steinem made the comment Friday night in response to a question from comedian and "Real Time" host Bill Maher when asked why the former secretary of state isn't doing better with young women.
Disparaging them as airheads who only seek after male attention brought her a lot of grief. So she took to her Facebook page and apologized:
In a case of talk-show Interruptus, I misspoke on the Bill Maher show recently, and apologize for what's been...

This is of course a non-apology apology – for being “misinterpreted.”
Now Steinem should explain why it is a feminist triumph to support a woman who married for power and gained access to power only through her husband’s political career, who enabled his serial sexual assaults on women, and who participated in trashing the victims of her husband’s sexual assault when they went public.
Face it: Gloria Steinem is an arrogant, hypocritical, conniving, power-seeking joke. American women need her like a fish needs a bicycle.
