Being black is always beautiful in America

The purely positive "black is beautiful" cultural movement started in America in the 1960s.  Fully flowering in the 1970s, it needs to be brought back in place of the more divisive and strident slogans in use today like "no justice, no peace."  Indeed, with the widespread acceptance of interracial marriage and biracial children (who tend to inherit the best physical traits from both sides of their parentage), our culture has organically embraced the message of diversity in a fundamental way (our Founding Fathers could scarcely have imagined) and made it truly our own.  Therefore, to publicly decry that "black lives [don't] matter" to the rest of us in violent, city-destroying protests is the use of a political bazooka to address what is, at most, a fly-swatter problem: the residue of racism by whites in America.

The truth is that no culture besides America has done more historically to preserve human life in all its forms.  For example, politics aside, this is true in war against the fascist Axis powers and Hitler's totalitarianism in WWII and even more true in recent international disasters like the 2015 earthquake in Nepal, in which the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) – a government agency responsible primarily for administering civilian foreign aid – has sent $10 million and search and rescue teams from Fairfax County, VA and Los Angeles County, CA as part of its Disaster Assistance Response Team (DART).  For those very vocal segments of our society that constantly demonize America and bray about its imperfections, what other people give so freely of our blood and treasure in typical displays to such a humanitarian purpose with nothing asked for in return?

As a country (or a people), we should be judged solely by the totality of our intentions and actions.  But we need not worry about the judgments of others.  There is an orgy of Democratic leaders in place who have been doing that as a matter of course for more than six years under Barack Obama and his political operatives.  Who else but he would justify modern-day violent, beheading Islamic jihad, through some philosophically tortured and bizarre moral equivalency that subtly criticizes all Christians of today (many of whom not coincidentally reside in the United States) for the European Crusades of 900 years ago, with a straight face?

Many of Mr. Obama's minions populate the MSM.  (In fact, there is an elite clique of high-level government officials who move with ease between both spheres, carrying their hard-left political biases with them, à la George Stephanopoulos).  However, while Mr. Obama's anti-American sentiments are pedantic and inflexible (born of a twisted ideologue), his abettors do it, primarily, for financial gain.  If the love of money is indeed the biblical root of all evil, then know the truth about the money-grubbing MSM: for ever-increasing advertising dollars through high TV ratings and newspaper sales, the liberal press propagates a poisonous anti-American propaganda. Specifically, their frenzied attention – always through the skewed prism of class, gender, race, or sexual orientation (as the causal factor for problems rather than individual choices) – upon essentially tempest-in-a-teapot situations magnifies unfortunate, often tragic instances into full-blown national scandals.  Trayvon Martin, Michael Brown, and the latest iteration, a now unemployed cop who momentarily lost his cool, drew his gun (pointed toward the ground), and perhaps too roughly handled a mouthy bikini-clad teenager, make for a case in point.  These are isolated incidences – contorted into almost epic fictional narratives for the personal gain of those who peddle them.

The press's once honorable purpose of informing the public has mutated into a parasitic organism that feeds – and exploits – human misery.  Look to the front page of The Washington Post any day of the week now or in the future; they are in the business not of objectively disseminating the newsworthy, but of promoting the politics of victimization for profit.  (A recent headline under the masthead is "1 in 5 women say they were violated.")

This insidious, indiscriminate blaming of the "other guy" for one's lot in life (based in part on personal decisions despite the consistently given justification of one's humble beginnings) is the biggest hypocrisy demonstrated by the current occupant of the White House.  His very presence there he would laughably assert to be an impossibility, given his view of those "acting stupidly," gun-toting, Bible-clutching (read: white racist) Americans, who elected him to the presidency twice and whom he so often publicly and vigorously condemns.

Why does the most powerful man in the world do this?  At what phantom is his perpetual raging directed?  How can he be a victim of anyone or anything?

Obama's "white racist" is a cultural bogeyman to cover for his own complete governing incompetence.  Other cartoonish straw men Democrats use to gain position or maintain political power are stereotypical rich/white/elitist/capitalist Republican à la Mitt Romney.  Or the momentarily more prominent caricature of the bigoted/out-of-control/racist/white cop.  And while there are a few bad apples in every profession, it is disingenuous in the extreme to condemn whole groups based upon the unfortunate actions or words of a few.  (Afro-Americans sure don't like it when it is done to them.)

"Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness" are enumerated in the United States Declaration of Independence.  Given all that we are, all that we do, and all that we aspire to be, does any clear-thinking citizen seriously believe that all human life is not most precious to Americans?  This value remains consistent regardless of biological triviality, for, medically speaking, that is precisely what skin color is.  Black is beautiful, but so are white and every other race.  We should remember to be Americans first before looking to naysayers for more specific individual considerations.
