Why Obamacare won't let you keep your insurance plan
The three-minute video embedded below does a great job explaining why Obamacare keeps forcing people out of their existing health insurance plans – and will continue to do so. Robert Graboyes is a senior research fellow at George Mason University’s Mercatus Center, and he synthesized a lot of technical details into a highly understandable presentation (hat tip: The Daily Signal) that can be shared with friends via Facebook, Twitter, and other social media. Is this a glitch or a feature? Why would the architects (think people like Jonathan Gruber) deliberately devise such a system to inconvenience people? My guess is that they didn’t think through the implications; they just wanted the clarity of four distinctive tiers. Intellectuals and social engineers are like that – their grand plans always run smack into reality and founder, and the architects are not nearly as smart as they think.
But maybe there is something I do not grasp in the design.
