What gender warriors mean by 'affirmative consent'

The Daily Caller calls this video "cringeworthy." It's certainly that and more - it insults the intelligence of men and women and makes sex about as unsexy and unromantic as you can imagine.

Asking a woman if it's OK to kiss her neck or asking a man if the woman can touch his chest infantalizes adult behavior. Perhaps the goal of the feminists is to depopulate the planet. Who'd want to have sex under these conditions?

I'd be interested to hear a woman's take on this video. Certainly, there are some points in a sexual encounter where a woman's consent would smooth over misunderstandings and the failure to read signals from your partner. But this can usually be accomplished non verbally.

This is a "mostly safe for work" video, although as far as eroticism is concerned, you'll see more overtly sexual situations tonight on prime time TV.
