On July 11, Maria Bartiromo dragged the criminal Sandy Berger out of his rightful dungeon to be her mid east expert.

Shame Shame Shame.

This Mr. Sandy Berger stole items from the National Archives. He lied about the incident.  And he was given a plea bargain which was to require a subsequent lie detector test, which he never took.

From Fox’s own account of the theft.

“Sandy Berger (search) pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor in federal court. Berger, who served as President Clinton's national security adviser, is acknowledging that it wasn't an honest mistake and that he intentionally took and destroyed copies of classified documents from the National Archives (search) and cut them up with scissors.

Berger acknowledged to U.S. Magistrate Deborah Robinson that he intentionally took and deliberately destroyed three copies of the same document dealing with terror threats during the 2000 millennium (search) celebration. He then lied about it to Archives staff when they told him the documents were missing.

"Guilty, your honor," Berger responded when asked how he pleaded.”

“Berger admitted that twice during 2003, he knowingly removed classified documents regarding the government's anti-terror efforts and notes from the National Archives Annex in College Park, Md., by putting the papers in his jacket, his pants and in a leather case.”

Just a mistake, and only copies we were led to believe.  Yet according to the same Fox article,

“But still missing are drafts of a sensitive after-action report on the Clinton administration's response to a failed terror plot to blow up the Los Angeles International Airport during December 1999, otherwise known as "the Millennium plot”

Critical information on this Berger raid of the archives revolved around the extent of the Clinton administration’s “awareness of the rising threat of attacks on U.S. soil.”

Couldn’t Maria find an honest person without a record of theft to be her mid east expert?
