President Obama just got checked again by The Supreme Court.  I'm talking about Hobby Lobby and the "union dues" decision.   This is on top of the 9-0 slap last week over recess appointments.

Yesterday, President Obama went out and shamelessly discussed immigration.

He admitted that there won't be any kind of immigration reform this, and more than likely not in his second term.   It's over.

The Washington Post reported on what he did:

"According to the White House statement, Obama will now direct Attorney General Eric Holder and Secretary of Homeland Security Jeh Johnson to beef up border security.   

“Protecting public safety is and will remain a top priority, and we will continue to focus on removing those who have committed serious crimes from our interior,” the statement said. “But we will redirect other resources to make sure we keep doing what it takes to keep our border secure.  

Obama also has directed his administration by the end of the summer to find additional steps he can take without Congress “to fix as much of our broken immigration system as we can.”  

The Obama administration announced earlier Monday that it will ask Congress for emergency funding and new statutory authority to stem a surge of undocumented women and children from Central America coming into the country illegally along the south Texas border. Officials have said they will seek more than $2 billion for additional border patrol agents, immigration judges and detention facilities to help deport the immigrants more quickly."

Then President Obama blamed the GOP for refusing to put immigration to a vote.  

And this is where he is just shamelessly shameless, if there is such a state of shamelessness.

President Obama had majorities in the House and 60 votes in the US in 2009-10.   He proposed nothing!

In 2012, he pandered to Hispanic groups by going around Congress on "the dreamers".   

All in all, he did nothing when he had the votes and used the issue to pander for reelection.

Now, he faces the reality that the border that he said was more secure than ever is not really.   How can you have a secured border if thousands of kids can walk in without consequence?

President Obama is the reason that immigration reform will never happen.  We can now safely conclude that he was never really serious about a solution.  He just wanted an issue to distract Hispanics from unemployment and the lousy public schools that Democrats like Obama don't send their kids to.
