Sheila Jackson-Lee, performance artist?
Congresswoman Sheila Jackson-Lee is at it again, this time claiming that the Constitution is 400 years old. From the Washington Free Beacon:
“Maybe I should offer a good thanks to the distinguished members of the majority, the Republicans, my chairman and others, for giving us an opportunity to have a deliberative constitutional discussion that reinforces the sanctity of this nation and how well it is that we have lasted some 400 years, operating under a constitution that clearly defines what is constitutional and what is not.”

I think that I have cracked the code when it comes to Sheila Jackson-Lee. While others have characterized her as the “dumbest person in Congress,” and "Dim," I am beginning to suspect that she has been putting us on for many years, carrying out a long term performance art project satirizing the pretensions of elite educational institutions (she has an undergraduate degree from Yale and a law degree from the University of Virginia), affirmative action, and the foibles (Sheila Jackson Lee Says Repealing Obamacare Violates Constitution; Sheila Jackson Lee says she’s not an aisle hog — she’s busy working for Houston; Congressional bosses from Hell: Sheila Jackson Lee) of members of Congress.
The late Andy Kaufman may have originated this variety of performance art, but he clearly has been surpassed by the congresswoman from Houston. Representative Lee, I salute you. Keep it up!
