Yes we are 'impotent,' Ambassador Rice

UN Ambassador Susan Rice talking to ABC's "This Week":

"We're not impotent, were not even less popular to challenge that assessment" said Rice. " What happened this week in Cairo, in Benghazi and many other parts of the region was a result, a direct result, of a heinous and offensive video that was widely disseminated, that the U.S. government had nothing to do with, which we have made clear is reprehensible and disgusting."

A cold bucket of reality for you, Madam Ambassador:

1. The US us less popular today in the Arab world than it was during the Bush administration.

2. It is laughably false to say that "Innocence of Muslims" was "widely disseminated." It was more obscure than my next door neighbor's cat video until the Islamists found it.

3. Grovel much?

The more you run away and try and hide, the less the Arab street believes you. Therefore, why not try something novel and exciting? Defend our Freedom of Speech -- without equivocation and without hesitation. Make no mention of this stupid video -- its not the cause of the rioting. State firmly, clearly, and with pride that the US will not kowtow to those who get offended if I drop my hat on a picture of the prophet.

We don't have a problem. The perpetually outraged Muslims do. How refreshing would it be to hear an Obama administration flunkie say that?
