Why is there no reaction to 'Shariah:The Threat to America'?
A week has passed since the report Shariah: The Threat to America was released and the only reaction seems to be coming from Islamic sites. I find this quite odd.
OK, the report is 150 pages long if you exclude the notes, but this can be read in half a day. What is particularly strange is that of the several sites dealing with the Middle East and Israel which I read regularly, i.e. Barry Rubin, Daniel Pipes, Melanie Phillips, Daniel Gordis and Caroline Glick none have even mentioned it. [American Thinker covered it here and here - ed.]
These sites have for years tried to educate the population about the Middle East and Islam bit by bit, and now all of a sudden we have a condensed report that in one swoop goes all the way, discusses everything, is backed by serious security professionals, including a former director of the CIA. - and... nothing...hardly anybody comments.
One Muslim site inadvertently said it right " This report attempts to make up (by its length, and by working in every possible conspiracy theory that has ever been suggested about Muslims into one document)" except that it is not composed of conspiracy theories but of direct quotes from the Koran and the works of American Founding Fathers.
America desperately needs this document. I cannot think of a better way to educate the population. If only they would read it. Once they have read it even the staunchest liberals will be forced to pause and think.
I believe that the report is a major development, possibly a turning point. It will eventually help America in the war against the jihadists and stealth jihadists. But there is no time for it to have any significant effect on America helping Israel fight Iran since Obama is the problem and he is putting tremendous pressure on Netanyahu, and we are running out of time. On the other hand, maybe it could have more effect than I initially thought. Netanyahu can see by reading the report that America is finally waking up, and this along with the midterm elections 43 days away could help Netanyahu bypass Obama's absurd peace charades, help him do what he has to do with Iran and go directly to the American people
I may be wrong. Either this non-reaction is a case of the dog that did not bark, or we all are really in trouble.
