A suburb of Paris is enforcing sharia restrictrions, ordering the cancellation of a pork sausage festival, lest Islamic sensibilities be offended. From the Boston Herald:

French cops have said "non!" to a "Sausage and Booze" street party in a now-heavily Muslim neighborhood, saying it would be a provocation.

Sylvie Francois of Goutte-d'Or in northern Paris was accused of racism after she organized the party on Facebook, but she denies any ties to extreme right groups and says she launched the pork fest to "express exasperation." Francois says the "Islamization" of her working-class neighborhood has become "more and more ostentatious," and Muslims now block several streets for Friday prayers.
