Sealing the Gulf Blowout
Clear and informative coverage of BP's attempts to seal the blowout is available from the online version of the New Orleans Times-Picayune newspaper, also known as NOLA.com.
Read about the flotilla of ships working at the site here.
A graphic of the 450 ton "blowout preventer" is here.
A graphic depicting what probably went wrong is here.
Additional links to further stories on the blowout and plugging effort are available at NOLA.com. Kudos to the New Orleans newspaper for telling who, what, where, when, how.
