The Two 9/11's
When candidate Obama was asked by a reluctant media why he did not wear an American flag pin in his lapel, he gave this answer:
"I decided I won't wear that pin on my chest. Instead, I'm going to try to tell the American people what I believe will make this country great and, hopefully, that will be a testimony to my patriotism."
When you give a guy you don't know the benefit of the doubt, sometimes you get kicked in the teeth. We've seen for months now, as President Obama has taken America on her knees to the public confessional, apologized for the greatest Nation on earth to countries we've actually saved from destruction and otherwise made a mockery of our businesses, our doctors and our charitable hearts. At the same time he is going after the CIA men who kept us safe, he now undertakes to radically alter the meaning of 9/11 and desecrate the memories of those slain on that day in the worst attack on our soil in history.
But in another bold move to politicize everything under the sun in these United States, Obama has decided to change 9/11 from a national day of remembrance and respect to a "national day of service" in making his dead-horse idea of a green utopia into America's new brand of patriotism.
The American Spectator has all the details here.
President Obama's brand of patriotism is no longer in question. It's spread out for all the world to see, like a load of yellow underwear on a backyard clothesline. On 9/11, real Americans will be honoring the innocent victims of the attack, the heroes of NYC who sifted through the ashes and rubble for their remains, the families of the fallen and yes, the CIA who prevented more of the same. We will also honor all the many warriors, who have fallen and been wounded in the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.
I don't have much good left to say about John McCain, but one thing I do know. This hairbrained, ninny idea of Obama's would never have even crossed his mind. Real Americans know the meaning of patriotism. They don't have to learn about it in political science class or community organizing school.
The veterans group, Gathering of Eagles, plans to be in Washington, D.C. on September 11, and they are raising funds to give laptop computers to our wounded warriors at Walter Reed. I can't think of any better way to both honor our fallen and our living heroes than to donate to this valiant cause. All the details are here on the Gathering of Eagles website.
It's time to show Barack Obama and his band of Blame-America-First folks what it really means to love one's Country in the patriotic way.
So, there will be two 9/11's this year, but only one will really count. May the counterfeit 9/11 die quickly in the dustbin of history, where all good socialists return to the maggots from which they came.
