Obama for messiah (continued)
Barack Obama is walking a dangerous path with his vague promises of hope and change, his arraogance and elitism, and his glass jaw when it comes to impromptu discussions of actual policy, much less the basic details of how presidential power actually is exercised.
The combination leaves him exceedingly vulnerable to satire. Just remember the effect Saturday Night Live achieved with mockery of the press's treatment of him during the Democratic Primary debates. Derisive laughter punctures pretension, and sometimes has the power to break the spell a leader exercises over the naïve and weak-minded among his followers.
We welcome a new website (and artist) to the Obama comedy community: the site Obama for Messiah. The unnamed artist there has created 3 posters like this one

He or she graciously credits one of the founders of the Obama School of Socialist Realism, Shepard Fairey of Obey the Giant, and also notes the existence of another Obama/messiah site, Is Barack Obama the Messiah?, to which we have already linked previously.
Laughter can heal, it is said. That aphorism applies to politics as well.
Let the good times roll!
